Do you want to master the elusive "Single Take" audition?
Are you going to auditions less than once a week?
Is your confidence in the toilet?
Do you think: I wasn't taught how to audition in school and I get sent out so rarely. How do I get better?
Do you need to re-create the "stress" of an audition in order to not let your nerves get the best of you when you are actually in the room?
You are an athlete. An athlete of the soul.
Auditioning is its own muscle.
As an Actor, you train your voice, body and mind - you must also train your auditioning muscle. Just like a pro-basketball player knows he will make his shot every time at the foul line with 50,000 fans screaming around him, so too must an Actor know that they will nail every audition with a sense of ease and confidence. Enter....
THE WORKOUT IS THE PLACE WHERE. . .
You HONE YOUR PREP. Test how much you actually need to prepare in order to deliver every time. Rediscover your sense of play. Increase your confidence in auditioning. Let’s face it- rarely do we get a chance to do more than one take in the casting office. You can’t use the room to “warm up”- you must come in ready to own it. Not all of us are Viola Davis or Brad Pitt -- who will be given all the time needed. We mortals must nail it on the first take. Every. Single. Time.
The Workout begins the week of November 4th, sides will be sent Sunday November 3rd for that week.
HOW IT WORKS
- Every Sunday we send out new material for each session that week
- Sessions will be held Wednesday evenings 7-9pm and Saturdays 11am-1pm in Hollywood
- Sign ups are first come, first served for the coming week.
- Each actor gets 5 minutes to tape, we will have a tight schedule so must be ontime or at risk of losing your space.
- We send you your take the following day for you to review/learn from/grow and get better!
